We're super proud to be welcoming this reborn producer into our portfolio. The new wines are exceptional, and are only getting better. Eldridge (formerly Eldridge Estate) is obviously a producer with a proud history, and it has now been fully revitalized under the winemaking of Steve Flamsteed and the new ownership of Elli and Vicki Tutungi. The wines are made in tiny quantities, exclusively from three hectares of Estate vines. As mentioned, the winemaking is spearheaded by Steve Flamsteed (the newly anointed 2027 Halliday Wine Companion Winemaker of the Year) with Grace Jiranek, a self confessed Pinot and Chardonnay fanatic as his right arm. Grace has worked for a range of top producers in the Adelaide Hills and Mornington as well as Jean-Marc Pillot in Chassagne-Montrachet. The Eldridge vines sit on the slopes of Red Hill in Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula and, at 225 metres, is among the highest-altitude vineyards in the region. First planted by David Lloyd in 1984 across 3 hectares (8 acres), the north-facing vineyard slopes 45 metres down to a spring-fed dam, sheltered from harsh winds and cooled by ocean breezes for a long, slow ripening period. The volcanic red clay soils hold water so well that the vineyard is entirely dry-grown. The vision for Eldridge is clearly defined: outstanding Estate Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Gamay (which we'll get in subsequent vintages). The new era has begun with a bang, with the '23 vintage out now, and, having tasted 2024 and 2025, we can tell you that it only gets more exciting from here. The wines will likely be allocated in the future, so get on board while you can!
