With Zalto’s fifty glassblowing artisans now back at full production, we’re delighted to see a return to healthy and steady supplies of this exquisite range of glassware. Our latest shipment includes the Burgundy, Universal and Champagne stems, as well as decanters that have been out of stock.

Most of our customers are already familiar with these unsurpassable stems, so there is little else for us to say. Simply, the finer the glass, the more pleasurable it is to drink from. Used by the top restaurants, winemakers and wine-lovers the world over, there is no finer glass we know of than Zalto.

Zalto White Wine Glass 2 Pack

A great glass for young Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc and other racy aromatics. Also terrific for young Chablis, as well as lighter-bodied reds. If you are familiar with the popular Riedel Riesling/Sangiovese glass, this would be your closest match. We also use this glass for Sherries, some sparkling wines and spirits. It can work perfectly as a general glass for both whites and reds.

Six Pack. A great glass for young Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc and other racy aromatics. Also good for young Chablis, as well as lighter-bodied reds. We also use this glass for Sherries, some sparkling wine and spirits—when Melanie Tesseron of Cognac Tesseron was in Australia this was the glass we used at the tastings. This glass is ideal for full-bodied, powerful and/or developed wines, with its shape allowing the wine’s depth and intensity to shine through while still accentuating its underlying complexity and finesse. It can work for pretty much all Italian wines (although older Nebbiolo is often better in the ‘Burgundy’ glass), as well as all mature whites and reds from anywhere else. Mature Chablis, Riesling, Chianti, Beaujolais and pretty much any Australian wine, young or old, are good candidates. Also terrific for great grower Champagne. In short, as the name suggests, a brilliant all-rounder.

While it works particularly well for Bordeaux, Brunello di Montalcino, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Shiraz, etc., it’s also superb with Nebbiolo, Gamay and Pinot. So don't let the name fool you into thinking this is a one-dimensional stem.

Zalto Gravitas Omega 2 Pack

In simple terms this is Zalto’s Burgundy glass with no base. Instead, you have a sphere at the base of the stem and the glass rests on a small, flattened area on the side. In addition, it has a flat edge on the part of the bowl so that it can sit peacefully without fear it will roll off the table!  It was Shannon Bennett who originally alerted us to this stem’s existence. After encountering the Gravitas Omega in Europe, Shannon asked us to order some in for Vue de Monde. There is obviously something theatrical about the design. This then is for show, or for the person who already has all the other shapes!
