First produced in 2009, Ponsot’s Corton-Charlemagne is drawn from two parcels, both in Aloxe: one on the Pernand border in Le Charlemagne and the second in Les Languettes. As you can see from the notes below, this is a deep, fleshy yet energetic and vibrant Charlemagne.

“50% Pernand side, 50% Languettes. One barrel of each. Very attractive perfume, a touch of lime blossom in the bouquet but ripe enough. A soapy citrus. Very stony, quite intense for the vintage, again the wood seems more present than one would expect given that the youngest barrels date from 2018. Refreshing and energetic. Very persistent.”
