“We love this wine” Ricky Evans says, and it’s easy to see why. In an ocean of rich, glycolic styles, Ricky is showing how freshness can transform this varietal. He picks early to keep a strong acid line and lower alcohols. This year, the grapes were whole-bunch pressed into barriques for a wild ferment. They then moved to tank for four months’ maturation on lees.

Reviews

"This 2025 Gewürztraminer was my top-rated Gewürztraminer at the 2026 Tasmanian Wine Show in January, and the wine is tight, textural and spicy, without being too heavy on phenolics or weighty spice. The fruit was whole-bunch pressed to tank and then racked to barrel, where it was on the lees for several months, then it was racked a few more times and bottled unfined and unfiltered. The fruit was picked early, and the wine has retained excellent acidity, and while it is tied to its varietal characters (Turkish delight, roses, cracked pistachios, etc.), it feels restrained and good. I like it."
90 points, Erin Larkin, The Wine Advocate
