Two Tonne Tasmania TMV Pinot Noir 2024

The wine that started it all! This is Ricky’s 12th year making TMV Pinot Noir, and it gets better each year. As was the case last year, Ricky’s Woodlawn Park site accounts for most of the blend (70%), with small parcels from Chartley Estate in Rowella (15%) and Three Wishes in Hillwood (15%). The breezy Woodlawn site lies on free-draining silty and sandy soils near the river in Swan Bay and consistently delivers vibrantly pure, potent fruit. The combination with the other sites brings together bright aromatics, snappy red fruits, fresh acidity and spicy depth. Ricky picks over multiple passes. The ferment included 10% bunches, and the wine spent 10 months in barriques (10% new) before bottling.
