Bannockburn Sauvignon Blanc 2026

Matt Holmes continues to refine Bannockburn’s Sauvignon Blanc with freshness and site expression firmly in focus. The fruit comes from two small parcels planted in 1996, covering just one acre of mixed clay over limestone and certified organic since 2021. For 2026, handpicked fruit was whole-bunch pressed, settled overnight and fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel, followed by three months on lees before bottling. It’s a taut, finely structured release, with aromas of hay, chalk and fresh citrus leading to a focused palate of green apple and citrus. Chalky tension and fine, dry grip frame the fruit, with good depth and persistence through a long, savoury finish. A compelling, site-driven Sauvignon Blanc that puts texture and structure ahead of overt varietal character.
