"Medium-deep and bright ruby with a lot of purple in the meniscus; the bouquet is complex with five spice, charcuterie, dried-herb and dried cherry aromas. The palate follows on from the nose and has concentration and depth, impressive persistence and a harmonious structure of ample tannins. Both the oak and whole-bunch components are beautifully balanced and subtle. Still ascending and possibly even better in a year."
