Paul Gadenne Chignin Mondeuse 2022

Gadenne farms two plots of Mondeuse in Savoie – a plot of young vines in Chignin and this small plot just 20 kilometres away in Saint Jean de la Porte. The 60-year-old vines face south, are rooted in clay and limestone and sit at a lofty 450 metres. Gadenne ferments the wine as whole bunches, usually over 15 to 20 days, with gentle pumpovers throughout. The wine then matures in tank on fine lees for eight months.
