The vines here are between 30 and 40 years old. This wine was fermented with 30% whole bunches and Lamarche notes that this terroir gives her a wine reminiscent of (her very refined) Clos de Vougeot. This assertion takes on even more significance upon tasting her sublime and elegant expression of that Grand Cru. The 2023 Chaumes from Nicole Lamarche offers layers of red cherry, wild strawberry and floral perfume, framed by fine tannins and a graceful mineral freshness.
