Nicole Lamarche Morey-Saint-Denis 1er Cru Les Monts Luisants 2023

This is the first vintage of this cuvée from Nicole Lamarche, sourced through her expanding négoce activity and showcasing her elegant, terroir-driven style in a new appellation. As the importer of Domaine Ponsot, we know Monts Luisants very well, as Ponsot is the largest holder. It’s a site that sits, in part, on the upper part of the slope of Moreyt, bordering Gevrey. The lower part of the vineyard actually forms a part of the Clos de la Roche Grand Cru, but the 1er cru area is very cold and rocky, and is known for wines of finesse and aromatic complexity (so perfect for Nicole Lamarche's style). Lamarche’s first release combines a lifted, floral perfume, ripe berry fruit and gentle spice across the palate with silky tannins and mineral freshness. A refined, classically proportioned Morey-Saint-Denis.
