A black grape native to northeast Italy, Refosco is a grape of genuine character and authenticity. The fruit for this one came from the Chalmers Vineyard.
The majority of fruit was fermented as whole bunches before being pressed to old French barrique for maturation on lees. It saw minimal sulphur at bottling. It's a big beautiful wine—friendly and approachable, simply made for the dinner table.
