From a small, south-facing site in Ravera at 350 metres, where 20-year-old vines are rooted in the ancient Lequio Formation—complex soils of silt, clay and compacted sand, rich in active limestone. The fruit was hand-harvested and fermented in stainless steel before maturation in wood and porcelain eggs.

Reviews

"A flavorful and zesty Barolo, with layers of fresh figs, coffee, sour cherries, crushed stones and vanilla. It’s full-bodied, with delicious fruity coffee aromas accompanied by firm, sleek tannins. Expressive. Try in 2025."
93 points, Claire Nesbitt, JamesSuckling.com
"Very fine, tiny-red-soft-berry fruit with a long spiced spine of cinnamon and barky bitterness. Raspberries, stone dust and pine-needle green spice. Acidity is affirmative, confident, shapely, shaping. Staccato tannins pulling a portcullis of astringency in front of the fruit. Right now this is a wine that is resisting anyone disrupting its beauty sleep, but once it had been open for four days with plenty of air, it started to uncoil, show its beauty. Needs patience, which will be rewarded."
