Natural cork. Not to be confused with Camille’s négociant wine Aux Montagnes above (from Comblanchien), this parcel sits at the southern side of Corgoloin, quite high on the slope at 280 metres in altitude. Only four barrels were made here, and the wine was vinified with 40% whole bunches.
It’s stunning. Packed with fleshy, dark cherry, and anise-scented fruit and there is terrific texture and very fine tannins. In general, there is so much fruit, yet the wine remains medium-bodied and with a cool, vibrant finish. Precise is a good word.
