The Meursault village is a small blend from 0.66 hectares spread across three lieu-dits: Les Corbins, Les Chaumes de Narvaux, and Sous la Velle (out of interest, Jobard’s parcel in Les Corbins sits right next to Vincent Dancer’s). Vine age varies by parcel from 16 to 50 years. With deeper clays, Les Corbins brings flesh to the blend while Les Chaumes de Narvaux, high on the Côte, provides the mineral edge. The wine was naturally fermented and aged in predominantly older barrels.

Reviews

“Sulphured before the harvest and racked after. This comes from three plots: Les Corbins, Chaumes de Narvaux, Sous Lavelle. Pale lemon, light reduction. Not too voluptuous, and with an excellent mineral thread, a burst of white fruit with excellent balance, avoids the heat behind as well.” 90-92 points
Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy
“The 2019 Meursault Village is rich and generous, mingling aromas of pear and green apple with notions of freshly baked bread and confit citrus. Medium to full-bodied, ample and layered, its fleshy core of fruit is girdled by lively acids and chalky extract, though it remains gourmand and giving in profile.”
90 points, William Kelley, The Wine Advocate
