Denton’s Cabernet vines are located on the warm, north-western slope near the top of Denton View Hill. 2022 was a classic Yarra Valley season; a long, mild summer with well-timed rain that rewarded patience. The fruit was picked at the end of March, 90% destemmed and fermented wild with minimal sulphur additions. The wine was pressed off skins and aged in 500L puncheons for quiet maturation throughout the year before being bottled in late 2023 without fining or filtration.

The tannins hold a fine line, they're silt-like. An elegant cabernet, more on the red-fruited and savoury spectrum. It's harmonious and will age nicely for a few years."
