Having established two iconic properties in Burgundy, Jean-Marie Guffens was given the opportunity to purchase the historic Château Closiot from Bernard Sirot. From what we hear, Guffens could not pack his suitcase quickly enough.
The 2025 Bordeaux Blanc is a blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon. In his notes on the vintage, Guffens announced he has decided to take over neighbouring Château Piada’s Barsac vineyards, doubling the Estate. Even so, the 2025 harvest was no larger than in previous years, with yields of just 18 hl/ha for his dry wines.
