Champagne Laherte Frères Blanc de Noirs Brut Nature NV (Base 24)

Laherte Frères’ Blanc de Noirs comes from a fine selection of plots in the Coteaux Sud d’Épernay and the Vallée de la Marne, a perfect representation of the fruitiness of Meunier, the vinosity of Pinot Noir and the mineral freshness of the chalky terroir. The vines, around 30 years old, are farmed with respect for nature. The blend is 50% Pinot Noir and 50% Pinot Meunier, picked by hand when fully ripe and pressed traditionally. Fermentation takes place in small foudres and barrels with a little bâtonnage and minimal sulphites, followed by malolactic fermentation and ageing on fine lees. This release is Base 2024, blended with 50% reserve wines from previous vintages, aged in barrels on their lees. Disgorged by hand and bottled as a Brut Nature, with no dosage.
