Always a ridiculous value, the 2024 is no exception. It’s drawn almost entirely from Leroux’s Estate vineyards in Meursault—including Les Millerands, Sous la Velle and Les Belles Côtes. Unlike the majority of Bourgogne (from the foot of the hill and across the D974), Leroux’s Estate vines grow on the lower slopes of the Côte, situated below the village-level vines of Meursault but on the upper side of the road. The wine was matured in 50% large oak, 25% Winglobe (glass) and 25% used barrique. It’s fabulous, and if it had “villages” or “1er cru” on the label, it would score in the 90s!

Benjamin Leroux Bourgogne Blanc 2024

Reviews

“Pale lemon yellow. Gentle chardonnay fruit on the nose, a little more citrus on the palate, middleweight and length. Drink from 2027-2029.”
86-87 points, Jasper Morris MW, Inside Burgundy
“The 2024 Bourgogne Blanc is 100% from the Côte d'Or. It has a light apple blossom and sea spray scented bouquet. The palate is well balanced with an understated entry, light orange pith and citrus fruit with a gentle finish that will slip down the throat easily.”
86-88 points, Neal Martin, Vinous
