Les Procès is a very small 1er Cru positioned south of the village, next to Les Pruliers. Lachaux’s 0.7 hectares of vines are more than 50 years old and sit just below the Château Gris castle, accounting for a large chunk of this tiny vineyard. Maison Joseph Drouhin owns almost all the remaining acreage. Gorgeous! A wonderfully ethereal expression of Nuits is on offer here. Delicate, vibrant, and floral. Super seductive already with lifted perfume, great finesse and length.

Reviews

“One of the more charming, immediate wines in the range is the 2020 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Procès, a supple, medium to full-bodied bottling that bursts with aromas of plums, kirsch, orange zest and peonies. Fleshy, succulent and giving, it's perfumed and precise.”
93 points, William Kelley, The Wine Advocate
“Rich dark purple in colour, with a sensual heady dark fruited nose. A little bit of the lifted floral notes, but seems very red fruit below, some of the Asian spices, the terroir and the work in the vineyards are fighting hard here against the possible excess of the vintage, and winning easily. A touch of blueberry fruit and good fresh acidity. A fine long finish. Drink from 2028-2038.”
