Alfredo Maestro Consuelo 2020

This is 100% Albillo Mayor (the white parent grape of Tempranillo) from a selection of vineyards with very old vines planted between 1891 and 1910. The fruit was hand-harvested, destemmed and crushed before spending seven days on skins. It was fermented in 500-litre French oak barrels with natural yeasts. No additions were made. The wine spent 12 months in oak on fine lees and was racked twice.
