Alfredo Maestro A Dos Tiempos 2023

This is an equal-parts blend of Tempranillo and Garnacha. The Garnacha comes from Cigales (Valladolid) and the Tempranillo from Nava de Roa (Burgos). The grapes were picked by hand in the second week of September 2023. All bunches were destemmed before spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel tanks with daily pumpovers. The grapes spent 25 days on skins. The wine was racked to tank, where malolactic fermentation kicked off over a 20-to 30-day period. The wine was then put to barrel to rest for six months in French oak, during which time it settled with no further racking until bottling in May 2024. No corrections or additions were made.
