Our first allocation of the domaine’s Nuits since 2009! This comes from 1.42 hectares of low-yielding vines spread across seven parcels in the north of Nuits-Saint-Georges, starting just beyond the town and approaching the boundary with Vosne-Romanée. The vineyards are of similar size, and five of the plots are over 40 years old. From south to north, the lieux-dits are Les Brulées, Aux Tuyaux, Aux Saint-Jacques, Aux Lavières and Au Bas de Combe on the Vosne border.

“Almost a black purple colour. A fascinating floral element, like hyacinth rather than roses, on the nose. Then back to the fruit, some blackberry, but not cooked. Heady, with some peppery notes as well. The palate shows the tannins again, yet with some good acidity as well. An earthy background to very dark red and black berry fruit, does it quite have the length of the finest Arnoux-Lachaux wines? Drink from 2026-2032”
