Reviews

“Deeper dark purple with a delicious sensual pinot and peony aromatics, but with this lovely fresh tingle behind, the fruit slinking gracefully across the palate. Lovely, harmonious Chambolle-Musigny.” 91-93 points
Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy
“Unwinding in the glass with notions of rose petals, raspberries, plums and loamy soil, the 2019 Chambolle-Musigny Village is medium to full-bodied, lively and tightly wound, with a concentrated core of fruit framed by tangy acids and powdery tannins. A little introverted when I tasted it—like a number of Lachaux's wines, few of which had been racked by the time of my December visit—I expect it to show a rather more sumptuous, demonstrative side in bottle.” 90-92 points
William Kelley, The Wine Advocate
Outstanding. Top Value. “An ultra-floral and highly spiced nose reflects cool, pure and elegant aromas of mostly red pinot fruit. There is once again an attractively texture to the medium-bodied flavors that exude a subtle salinity on the detailed and lightly austere finale. This excellent effort is very Chambollesque in basic character and a wine that should age well.” 90-92 points
