Champagne Laherte Frères Les Grandes Crayères 2022 (Disg. Dec 25)

Les Grandes Crayères showcases the particular and complex terroir of the Coteaux Sud d’Épernay, where a few plots have soft soils with Campanian chalk just 20 cm below the surface. In 2014, Laherte Frères decided to vinify these plots separately, creating a single vineyard cuvée to present their Chardonnay with finesse and relief. The vines face west, are farmed with respect for nature, and come from massal selection on a blend of new and old rootstocks. Picked by hand when fully ripe and pressed traditionally, the wine is fermented in barrels with no malolactic fermentation, then aged on fine lees. Disgorged by hand in December 2025.
