The old and highly revered Schlossberg parcel in Lorch was planted in the 1950s, making these vines some of the oldest Fricke works with. The steep slopes of grey slate and quartzite store daytime sunshine and radiate warmth onto the vines at night. However, it's position protected from the cold winds creates a warmer microclimate that brings more body to this wine than the Seligmacher. Vinification was entirely in stainless steel with seven months’ on fine lees.
