Germain’s small production of Chassagne Rouge hails from a small, clay-rich parcel in Les Battaudes, planted in 1951. This site is just below the Abbaye de Morgeot on the Chassagne/Remigny border. A proportion of whole bunches were included, and the wine was raised with only a small percentage of new oak. It a charming, lifted, perfumed red Burgundy with incredible finesse for a Chassagne rouge.
