This wine is crafted from only the first (gently, vertically) pressed juice from Guffens’s iconic Le Chavigne vineyard, including the parcels “Juliette et Les Vieilles” (sometimes bottled separately). Put simply, Le Chavigne is the finest and most famous parcel of Mâcon-Pierreclos, and Guffens always makes incredible wine here. The 2024 is no exception. It’s hedonistic yet mineral, saline and super long.

Medium-bodied, satiny and seamless, it's ample and fleshy for the vintage, with lively acids and a saline finish. This contains the wine produced from the parcels that are sometimes bottled separately as Juliette et Les Vieilles—though Guffens admits that he did bottle one hectoliter of the latter for his personal consumption.”
