Limozin is a beautifully positioned site, tucked up under the Premier Crus and bordering Les Charmes, Les Genevrières and Les Poruzots. It’s a clay rich site that typically produces a particularly intense, mineral and long-lived Meursault. Planted in 1937, Germain’s ancient vines bring extra concentration and power to the terroir.

There is good precision to the refined and almost painfully intense middle weight flavors that are more voluminous if a bit less mineral-driven on the bracing bitter lemon infused finale. The underlying tension already makes this a pleasure to drink but more depth should develop over the mid-term. In sum, this is a first-rate, indeed even classy, Meursault villages.” 90-92 points
