Château Closiot is the Bordeaux outpost for one of Burgundy’s great vignerons, Jean-Marie Guffens of Guffens-Heynen, who purchased the Barsac Estate in 2017. Le C de Sec Vigne de Piada is a classic dry blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon from eight hectares of old vines on red clay over hard reddish limestone. Picking occurs just before botrytis sets in, and the wine matures in oak barrels, from 25 to 50% new. A green and flinty dry white.
