Poruzots is one of Meursault's more intriguing and less-understood Premier Cru terroirs. As we import three (Jobard, Henri Germain and Benjamin Leroux), we have some experience here! Antoine Jobard has three small plots totalling 0.79 ha in the upper part of Le Poruzot-Dessus, under the Narvaux terroirs, planted between 1972 and 1994. The northeasterly exposition of this fine Premier Cru always makes a wine that’s a little more reserved than traditional Meursault, and it is one of the longest keepers in the Jobard range. It’s often the most pungent, complex and earthy Meursault in the Jobard offering and always outstanding. 2022 is no exception—a brilliant wine typical of the terroir, but with everything magnified through the prism of the vintage. A Poruzots that might make you think of Perrières.
