The chalky Chevalières lieu-dit sits high up on the slope above the village, right next to Les Rougeots, and regularly makes wines that could easily justify a Premier Cru classification. In fact, Les Chevalières is an extension of the Premier Cru band that runs across the Meursault hill—with pretty much the same soils and altitude. Always a benchmark lieu-dit wine, the 2022 is no exception. It’s a deep and powerful example of this superb terroir.

Reviews

“The 2022 Meursault Les Chevalières has only partially completed its malolactic fermentation and may be bottled like that. Mingling aromas of crisp orchard fruit and white flowers with toasted nuts and struck match, it's medium to full-bodied, satiny and racy, with tangy acids and a long, saline finish.”
90-92 points, William Kelley, The Wine Advocate
“Composed and refined, the nose offers touches of walnut and apple blossom. I appreciate the harmony here. The palate is understandably sharp at the moment due to the higher malic acid, yet there is already focus and a sense of energy here that bodes well.”
91-93 points, Neal Martin, Vinous
