Domaine. Lamarche’s holdings in Clos de Vougeot now embrace two lieux-dits. Montiotes Hautes lies at the top of the clos near the Château. The second parcel, Baudes Basse, sits lower down the slope near the RN74. The vines in Petits Maupertuis have passed to Ligier-Belair. The two remaining parcels, aging 40 to 50 years old,  are picked together and co-ferment in open-top wooden vats. As you might expect, Nicole Lamarche vinifies a much finer, prettier expression of Clos de Vougeot—very Vosne in style. In fact, Vougeot seldom comes this lacy and elegant.

Nicole Lamarche Grand Cru Clos de Vougeot 2022

Reviews

“A lighter ruby colour. Moderately dense strawberry and raspberry pastilles on the nose. The Clos de Vougeot seems on the raw side because more youthful. The same fruit profile appears on the palate, just a little more tannic. Fair acidity and length. Drink from 2030-2038. Tasted Nov 2023.”
91-94 points, Jasper Morris MW, Inside Burgundy
“Pleasantly forward cherry and pomegranate fruit aroma touched with an almost salty mineral note, spice and a touch of lavender. The texture is silky and elegant, with supple tannins and a good balance between the fresh acidity and the extract.”
95 points, Charles Curtis MW, Decanter
