2016 base with 35-40% reserve wines going back to 2004, disgorged in April 2021. The name here refers to the vertical nature of the geographic locations of the vineyards as well as the style of wine resulting from the very chalky soils of these sites i.e., a more linear, mineral wine. To be specific, the vineyards are located in Cramant, Avize, Oger, and Vertus (north of the village). This is again 100% Côte des Blancs Chardonnay, yet the vineyards from which it is drawn have topsoils that are much thinner and the vine roots plunge straight into the chalky bedrock.

Reviews

“The NV Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs Longitude 1er Cru sizzles with tension and energy. Chalk and limestone soils in the villages of Vertus, Cramant and Oger give birth to a Champagne endowed with so much vibrancy. Citrus, yellow flowers, spice and baked apple tart add aromatic nuance, but it is the wine's pure drive and texture that stand out most. This is a fabulous showing. The current release is based on 2016, with 40% wines from a perpetual reserve that dates back to 2004.”
