This mindbogglingly complex Malvasia (weighting in at 20.45 alc/vol and just over 100 grams of residual sugar, balanced by delicious mouth-watering acidity) has been matured using the traditional Canteiro method in Henriques' purpose built lodges in Camara de Lobos. The wines are cask-aged in lodge attics, against south-facing windows, and at 20 years maturation thus, represents the best of Vinhos de Canteiro.

Reviews

“The acidity is just as well mind bogging and gives depth to the wine. Floral nose with notes of figs, dates and raisins together with burnt sugar, vanilla and honey. Perfumed grape character in the taste that, together with fine oak treatment and a most present acidity, gives a refreshing and long aftertaste. Great stuff!”
Niklas Jörgensen, Mad About Madeira
“Dark tawny, almost mahogany brown, with a richer timbre to its sweet and spicy palate with dates, tamarind and treacle toffee well balanced by mouthwatering acidity. Has been slipping down ever so nicely with mince pies, also chocolate. Its flavour profile would brilliantly compliment treacle tart or sticky toffee pudding, while its acidity would cut through the richness, so you could have more!?!”
