The Altesse portion hails from La Guele, a small plot at 350 metres with 45-year-old vines on limestone. The Gamay comes from La Route, an old-vine site (70 years) at 330 metres on similar but slightly more stony soils than La Guele. Both parcels are pressed immediately and ferment in seasoned demi-muids, where they mature for 12-24 months.
