The block starts at about 140 metres and sweeps down the slope towards the dam at about 100 metres. The soils are loaded with the hard granite boulders found throughout the site. The fruit was picked at the beginning of April. A small portion of each one-tonne fermenter was foot-stomped, and the vessels were then sealed to facilitate carbonic maceration. After 11 days, the fruit was destemmed to stainless steel tanks to finish fermenting, with gentle pumpovers twice a day for a further two weeks.
