The wonderful 2008 Vintage Port and 2004 Late Bottled Vintage from this legendary Estate. Highly limited.
“Quinta do Noval was one of the few great Port houses to declare a vintage in 2008. In total contrast with the personality of the 2007 vintage, the 2008 is a classic, Noval Vintage endowed with the great depth, finesse and elegance that are the constant characteristics of the estate’s finest wines.” Roy Hersh, For the love of Port, Dec 2010.

Below we offer four special wines from one the greatest Port estates. Quinta do Noval’s vineyards, perched high above the Douro Valley, produce some of the finest Ports in the world. It is, of course, here that the most revered Vintage Port of all is produced; Quinta do Noval Nacional. Like Nacional, the Quinta do Noval Vintage Port (VP) and the LBV 2004 we offer below, are the product of the same, single vineyard (“Quinta” can only be used on a Vintage Port produced from a single estate). Having said this, in years where no Nacional is released, the wine from the ungrafted vines can find its way in to both the VP and the LBV. These three Vintage Ports are made exactly the same way; trodden by foot in traditional granite Lagares and vinified, blended and matured on the Quinta do Noval property itself. Of course the LBV receives a longer maturation, as is made clear below.
In fact nearly all of the wines of Noval derive exclusively from the same single Estate....
