The logic behind Pontack’s Head was very simple - after years of trying to source well-priced, high quality Margaret River wines without success (until we recently found Pedestal Wines!) we decided to play micro-negociant. We engaged one of Western Australia’s finest winemakers, sourced fruit from high quality vineyards in the appropriate sub-regions of the Margaret River, and applied a winemaking philosophy that suited our undeniably Euro-centric tastes. This has enabled us to apply our usual exacting quality while delivering the wine at a very reasonable price. We believe the wine below represents outstanding value. As we have now found the Pedestal wines below, this is a discontinued line.
We thought we'd better offer a white to go with the red and the most interesting wine we could source was this SBS. It's pretty smart too, with a creamy texture and a deliciously tangy finish.
