DIAM cork. As always this is a far more serious red, bottled later and from the oldest vines. In 2008 it is a very elegant, pulpy and pure Crozes that has the weight and structure to age 3-5 years but is also delicious drinking now. We put it in the same league as the Alain Graillot Crozes but much more approachable; more opulent and also more complex as a young wine. Cool, fresh and lingering, this is only medium bodied. In other words it is the antithesis of many of the Syrah based wines being made in the world right now and this suits us down to the ground. Bravo Maxime!
