We’ve been waiting for what seems like eons to get an allocation of this magical Châteauneuf Estate’s Côtes du Rhône. We’re very pleased that our first shipment comes from a brilliant, southern Rhône vintage characterised by fresh, ripe wines of wonderful balance and purity. To be honest, we count ourselves lucky to get any wine at all from Domaine de Marcoux. We know of two respected importers (and friends) who were trying to land this Domaine at the same time as us. You win some, you lose some. This one we won. The Côtes du Rhône below comes from just two hectares of biodynamically run vineyards close to Orange – it’s basically a baby Châteauneuf with an annual production that runs to between 250 - 500 cases.
