As crazy as it sounds, we now work with no less than four Côtes du Rhône growers and we are considering a fifth. Why? is the obvious question. Thing is, this question only arises because we tend to think of the Côtes du Rhône as one, homogenous appellation. In fact it is a vast, complex region the size of a small country. Within this huge expanse, covering some 100,000 acres of vines, there are many, radically different terroirs with different altitudes, soils, aspects and climates.
