Inky dark red in colour. Youthful hue. A deep, dark nose - chocolate, coffee, blackberry, cherry and meat characters, also raisined fruits. The nose is intense and almost spirituous. These characters carry to the palate which is very full, rich and powerful. There is excellent balance and integration of flavours, with dark chocolate and coffee characters driving the palate. Plenty of lovely, ripe tannin keeps the palate going on and on.

A slightly advanced colour introduces a mature wine with a leathery, spicy bouquet of great complexity and detail. Full-bodied, savoury and finely textured, fleshy and well-structured. Firm, dry finish. A lovely food wine.
