Nardello, Spinifex, Bannockburn, Corzano E Paterno, Some Young Punks, Bernard Baudry, Chateau De Pibarnon, Henriques & Henriques, Labet and Quinta do Noval
Two containers have landed along with a few new releases from our local producers to kick off 2011. We will offer some of the wines with more details down the track (if they are still around) but just so no one can say we didn’t let them know, here they all are. Highlights include: the new Nardello Soave ‘Vigna Turbian’ (70% Garganega and 30% old vine Trebbiano di Soave as opposed to the 100% Garganega “Merides”). Also from this producer we have the ‘07 “Suavissimus” Recioto which is one of the finest Italian sweet wines we have come across for some time. Spinifex have released two fabulous values in the new “Lola” 2010 and “Cigale” GMS from the cracking 2009 vintage. Some Young Punks have a brand new Chardonnay called “Taken Brave” with a typically cheeky label. And Bannockburn have released their much anticipated 2010 Sauvignon which is as brilliant and surprising as the 2009 version. The new Corzano Terre di Corzano ’08 is in - just so wonderfully pure and drinkable. Then there’s the new vintage of the Pibarnon Bandol Rose, the new Chinon’s from Bernard Baudry, some more of the cracking Labet Bourgogne rouge ’09 as well as restocks on Quinta do Noval and Henriques and Henriques. All are in the warehouse and ready to go.
